Get To Know Jarrod Easterling

  • I come to Skulborstad Legal Group, LLC after serving as a Public Defender in El Paso County.  It was great to experience core constitutional practices at work and achieve in-court experience.  However, after handling 200+ cases at a time, I barely had enough time to recognize my client's faces.  I transitioned into an associate position at Skulborstad Legal Group, where I have more client contact and enjoy the challenges of a variety of practice areas and the ability to explore and use litigation tools that were otherwise not available.
  • I write and speak for a living. I deal in words daily and use language as an instrument of my thoughts.  Doing so allows me to clearly and plainly communicate with judges, other lawyers and clients.  It is my goal to not only assist you in obtaining a favorable outcome to your case or to negotiate a reasonable deal or contract, but to also ensure you are able to understand the process so you can fully participate in your representation.
  • I received my Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University in 2021. During law school, I served as the Careers and Fellowship Chair for the Public Interest Law Society; the President of the LSU Law Running Club, and a member of the Board of Advocates where I participated in multiple mock trial competitions.
  • I was born and raised in Louisiana where I spent many days outdoors.  This love of the outdoors is what drove me to move to Colorado.  Hunting, fishing, mountain hiking, and snowboarding keep me busy on my off-time.
